• About Chapters

USGBC chapters allow people to join USGBC as individuals rather than organizations.  Get involved in your local chapter to connect with green building experts in your area; share strategies, resources, and best practices; tour green building projects; and more.

  • Find a Chapter

Use Google maps to locate the USGBC chapter in your area.  If a local chapter has not yet been formed, search for an Organizing Group, or affiliates in your area who can also provide local green building resources, education, and leadership opportunities.

  • Join a Chapter

Get involved with USGBC in your area and join your local chapter, where you’ll meet others like you who are interested in learning more about green building and bringing green building to their communities and their businesses.

  • Emerging Professionals

USGBC's Emerging Professionals is a committee within each chapter that plans events and activities specially designed for the younger professional starting a career in sustainable design and building.

  • Start a USGBC Student Group

USGBC Students are college and university-based student groups, where students from any discipline come together to learn about and advance USGBC's mission to transform the way buildings and communities are designed, built and operated, enabling an environmentally and socially responsible, healthy, and prosperous environment that improves the quality of life.

  • Chapter Resource Center

This online clearinghouse of resources is designed to help chapter leaders build, grow, and guide their local chapter’s development and activity.  Locate resources to help your chapter organize and promote its events, recruit members, advocate for LEED, learn and share best practices, and locate archived newsletters.
